Built for how the
Gulf actually buys.

Websites, online stores and apps for businesses across Dubai and the UAE — with proper Arabic, the instalment options your customers expect, and VAT-ready invoicing. Engineering from Delhi, account handling on Gulf hours, at roughly a third of a Sheikh Zayed Road quote.

We are not a
Dubai company.

Plenty of "Dubai agencies" are three people in another country with a Business Bay address on the contact page. We would rather be straightforward about who you are actually hiring, because you will find out eventually anyway.

Who we are

Code9 Ventures Private Limited, registered in New Delhi, India (CIN U58201DL2023PTC415553). We hold no UAE trade licence and we do not claim one. Our office is in Delhi and our team works from there.

What that means for you

UAE businesses can buy services from overseas suppliers freely. Your accountant will normally handle VAT on imported services through the reverse charge mechanism — worth a quick word with your tax adviser before you commit. We invoice in AED or USD.

When we are the wrong fit

Some government tenders and larger corporate procurement processes require a UAE-licensed supplier. If yours does, we will say so on the first call instead of letting you discover it three weeks into a proposal.

What you get in exchange for hiring an overseas team: the same senior engineers a Dubai agency would subcontract to anyway, without the markup for a Sheikh Zayed Road lease.

Local specifics

Six things that are
different here.

A site built for a London or Delhi audience will quietly underperform in the UAE. These are the differences that actually cost money, and they are all handled as standard.

01

Instalments are not optional

Tabby and Tamara now carry a large share of UAE online orders, particularly above AED 300. A card-only checkout quietly turns away buyers who were ready to purchase. We wire these in alongside Network International, Telr or PayTabs.

02

Arabic has to be built, not translated

Right-to-left is a layout decision, not a text swap. Mirrored navigation, correct number and date handling, and Arabic typography that does not look like an afterthought. Any Arabic-speaking customer spots the difference immediately.

03

WhatsApp is the sales channel

Gulf buyers message before they call and rarely fill in a form and wait. Click-to-chat on every page, WhatsApp Business API for order updates, and abandoned-cart recovery over WhatsApp rather than email, which barely gets opened here.

04

5% VAT, invoiced correctly

Tax-inclusive display where it is expected, correct handling on invoices, and a checkout that shows the final number early. Surprise charges at the last step are the most cited reason for abandoned carts anywhere, and the UAE is no exception.

05

The calendar is not the same

Ramadan shifts browsing to late evening and changes what converts. July and August empty out as residents travel. Campaign scheduling and content planning that ignore this waste a meaningful part of the annual budget.

06

Speed on a Gulf connection

A site hosted badly for the region loads slowly regardless of how well it was built. We use CDN edge delivery so pages are fast in Dubai specifically, not just fast on the developer's machine.

Working together

Ninety minutes
ahead of us.

The UAE is 1.5 hours behind India, which is the easiest time difference we work with. In practice you will not notice it.

08:30–17:30 GST

Our day matches yours

We start on Gulf time, not Indian time. Messages sent at 9am in Dubai get an answer that morning, not the following one.

SUN–THU

Your working week

We follow the UAE week for client contact. Friday and Saturday requests are answered, just not guaranteed within the hour.

WHATSAPP

How we actually talk

Direct with the person building your project. No account manager relaying messages to a team you never meet.

EVERY FRIDAY

You see real progress

A private staging link you can open from your phone any time, and a demo each week from week one.

Dubai FAQ

What UAE clients
ask us first.

Starting with the one most agencies avoid answering directly.

Do you have a Dubai trade licence?

No. We are registered in India (CIN U58201DL2023PTC415553) and serve UAE clients as an overseas supplier. UAE businesses can buy services from overseas suppliers freely; your accountant will normally account for VAT on imported services under the reverse charge mechanism, which is worth confirming with your tax adviser. If your procurement rules require a UAE-licensed supplier, we will tell you on the first call rather than waste three weeks of your time.

How much does a website cost in Dubai?

Dubai agencies typically quote AED 15,000–60,000 for a business website. Ours run AED 6,600–22,000 for comparable work. The gap is not corner-cutting — it is that you are not funding a Sheikh Zayed Road lease, a sales team, or the layer of account managers between you and whoever writes the code.

Can you meet us in Dubai?

We visit the UAE periodically and are happy to meet when we are there, but we will not pretend to have a permanent Dubai presence. Almost every project we run happens over WhatsApp and video calls, including for clients twenty minutes from each other in Business Bay. If in-person meetings are essential to how you work, a local agency is genuinely the better choice and we will say so.

Do you build Arabic websites properly?

Yes — with true right-to-left layout, mirrored navigation, correct number and date formatting, and Arabic typography chosen rather than defaulted. We work with native Arabic translators for content rather than machine translation. The difference between this and Arabic text dropped into a left-to-right template is visible to any Arabic speaker in seconds, and it affects whether they trust you enough to buy.

Which payment gateways can you set up?

Tabby and Tamara for instalments, plus Network International, Telr, PayTabs, Stripe or Checkout.com for cards, and cash on delivery where your category needs it. We recommend the mix based on what you sell and at what price point — instalments matter far more above AED 300 than below it.

How do we pay you from the UAE?

International bank transfer, Wise, or card. We invoice in AED or USD and issue proper tax invoices from an Indian registered company that your accountant can file without difficulty. Standard terms are 40% to start, 40% at design sign-off, 20% on launch.

Do you understand free zone versus mainland requirements?

For what it affects on a website, yes — how you present your licensing, which entity appears on invoices and terms, and the trade name you can legally trade under. We are not licensing consultants and will not advise on your company structure. For that, talk to a business setup firm; we will build around whatever they set up.
